“3D Printing – Synergy between Theory and Practice”
9 June 2016, Conference center, Capital Fort, Sofia, Bulgaria
3D printing is not yet widely spread in Bulgaria, but this technology is gaining increasing popularity. The expectations are that the sales of 3D printers worldwide will rise 98% in 2015 in comparison to 2014. In 2016 the expectations are for double income from sold devices in comparison to 2015. This data from Gartner shows the strong rising interest in this printing technology and in putting it into practice. According to the forecasts, 3D printing will achieve its turning point in the next 3 years, as the market of 3D printers from the lower price range will continue its fast growth and the industrial use of this technology will expand considerably. According to Gartner, the enormous increase in 3D printers will come from the home consumers segment. 3D printers sale in this segment probably is due to the fall in prices and to the upgrade of models.
